Seems like a galaxy of color
has opened up to me.
The winter blahs are gone
and summer is here.

I am not typically drawn to pinks and blues, but these pieces happened in my studio. Above is watercolor on Yupo and below is a page from a journal. I wish you could see the shimmer from the metallic watercolors and the Nuvo paste.

I have been working on a couple of prompt challenges. #thestencilfiedjournal prompts from Tina Walker and Stencilgirl Products and #WorldWatercolorMonth.

I don't really need prompts but it is a way to jump-start your art process.

I love to journal. It is a great way to play freely and try products and techniques while honing skills. Another fun play I enjoy is creating papers for collage elements. This is both relaxing and enjoyable and in the end you have a wonderful pile of papers to use in your art.

Of course Shel and I continue to provide our own monthly Facebook journal challenge with Pick a Stick. Below is the process page for July. You can see the entire process video on my YouTube channel.

Don't forget to join us live on Thursdays at 10:30 CST on Art Joy of Sharing. We have a friendly group of arty friends that join in the discussion each week.

Just a few more things before I go. Have you figured out that I love stencils? Check out the mixedmedia canvas I created using a new Stencilgirl stencil from Gwen Lafleur and Emerald Creek Embossing Powders (I love the baked texture EP from Seth Apter).

Oh, by the way, we also did a month of artist trading cards. Use the hashtag #atcad2018 to see all the wonderful contributions to this collaboration.

So I am off to see the world. This month I plan to travel to Shake Rag Alley and play in my journals with MaryBeth Shaw from StencilGirl. I hope you have some summer vaca-plans too.

Maybe I will be able to post some of the happenings.

I have been so busy with making videos and art, I feel like I am neglecting my readers. I have some fun new creations and challenges ahead. Stay tuned for new things...
p.s. Did I mention the new channel launch? Intervals of Sanity YouTube channel will launch on Sunday the 15th. If you want to join arty friends live, subscribe and click the bell to get notifications. We would love to chat with you personally.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out what is going on in my world. ttfn peg
